Sustainable Development Goals
The SDGs must be achieved by 2030. Therefore there is a great urgency to act. We believe that the philanthropic sector can make an impact and can do more - or at least make it more transparent - what its contribution is. We encourage foundations and philanthropists to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.
Where possible, we make connections between philanthropic institutions, civil society organizations, governments and companies to boost collaboration between sectors. In this way, we contribute as an agency to SDG 17.

“I have been active for a large part of my career at the intersection of man and nature, and specifically in relation to landscapes. Since 2016, this focus has been broadened with themes such as energy transition and local residents' initiatives. Given this broad field of work, I am an enthusiastic supporter of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN. These SDGs give me a framework within which I can focus on changing themes or on the interaction between them."

“I concluded my study International Relations with a thesis on ecological safety. The topic was that climate change and other global environmental problems could put pressure on people's safety around the world. How current that theme is nowadays! I am convinced that foundations already contribute to the SDGs through their activities. It is a matter of making it visible. I am happy to be able to help foundations with this transparancy.”
