Set up a foundation

Do you want to set up your own grantmaking foundation? Better Giving can be your guide in the world of philanthropy. Together we make choices about the right legal entity, governance and focus of the foundation. We can help you get in contact with other Dutch philanthropic families, so that you can learn from their journey.

Strategy development

You want your money to get to the right place and to really make a difference. You want to be efficient, effective and have an impact. We support the process of developing or further defining visions, missions, goal and grantmaking policies. We do this both for existing foundations and for foundations that are being established. 

Policy forming

So many questions are raised when thinking about how to have a meaningful impact on a particular target group, theme or a subject. What is the issue you want to address? How can you address it? Are there any other organizations working in the same area and, if so, which ones? How are they addressing the issue? We can carry out an in-depth analysis to help answer these questions. We can also help you think through the best way to translate these into practical activities. 

Networking

There is not only a lot of money in the world of philanthropy for social initiatives, but also a lot of knowledge. Thousands of foundations, advisors and scientists jointly form a huge network with a wealth of knowledge and experience. We see it as our task to facilitate the sharing of this knowledge so that the available donations can be put to good use effectively and with as great an impact as possible on society.
